Why do I love photography so much? Have you ever looked through the lens of a camera? There are so m any reasons that I love photography! And every time I capture an image the number of reasons why increases by at least one more reason. Photography can make life small when things are overwhelming in your eyes! Sometimes life can be so painful , but photography helps me understand the ugliness of the world sometimes. Photography is powerful, it can help build or rebuild one’s self-esteem. Photography can change world views on something major or change individual views on something so minute. Regardless, photography has impact on emotions, values, beliefs and sometimes even faith. A lot of people turn to photography for a hobby, because aside from providing one with a fun and engaging activity, it also gives one a means of expressing their creativity. But there’s more to it than that. In many ways, photography can also positively influence one’s mindset & change the way that one approaches life! Photography heightens our self awareness as photography trains you to spot a potential subject from far away, and compose a great photo in an instant! It enables you to appreciate the all the good in all the bad! Photography is not just about having the right equipment at your disposal. It is about having an eye for all kinds of beauty, it teaches you to look for the beauty of everything everywhere you go! It helps you see thing is a more positive light! Photography makes you more positive it really opens your eyes to how big the world really is! With photography you don’t need to confine yourself to all the negative thoughts and actions that you may be experiencing in your life or in the moment! Photography allows you to see & experience beauty in so many different ways, which ultimately is so much more uplifting & much more satisfying than always focusing on the bad! Why do I love photography? Well it is easy! For me it is a challenge. Photography is not as easy as picking up a camera and pressing a button, you have to find the right pose, the right lighting & the perfect background! There is so much that goes into finding & creating the ‘’perfect strong image’’. You get yourself into the thought process of being a storyteller and figure out how to get that story across. You have to be able to visualize what an image would look like from different angles before you even take the picture and how to execute the mood or emotion of the story. The world looks different every single day so the possibilities really are endless. Think about it you could take a picture of a sunset every single day. The subject will be the same, but it will always look different. A photographer knows that there is beauty in everything from, withering flowers to stormy days as well as sunny days and trees. You just have to look a little closer. Photography reminds me of some experiences that I have been through and memories of my past. When I finally get that perfect shot that money maker as I call it makes me so happy and it makes me feel so accomplished! I’ve always photographed the subjects that mean the most to me so I am used to getting the Memory Full warning on not only my camera but my phone as well. It is honestly the best problem to have though because it means that you have people or experiences in your life that are worth photographing. When you are going through a hard time, you can look back at the memories you've made and realize that it's going to be okay!
